Announcements for March 1-2          8th Sunday in Ordinary Time

  1. Our Food Pantry, Cor Jesu, needs peanut butter, pasta and saltine crackers this week. Grocery store gift cards are great for perishable items. Thank you for your generosity!
  2. “The World Among Us” books for the Lenten Season are in the Gift Shop for $2
  3. Our Catholic Appeal Goal of $123,098 now has $61,250 for 49%. Please place your pledge envelopes in the collection basket. Thank you for your support!
  4. NO Wednesday morning Bible study this week. Bible study will re-sume next Wednesday, March  12th, in Avila Hall Faith Formation Room.
  5. Religious Education Classes (CCD) this Wednesday, in the school at 6:00 pm.  ALL classes will be attending Ash Wednesday Mass. Parents/Families are invited to join us.
  6. Ash Wednesday is on March 5th.  Masses will be at: 7:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m. (with our School Children), 11:30 a.m., 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
  7. Friday, St. Teresa Lenten Suppers are every Friday of Lent from 4:30-6:30pm in the Avila Hall. First Friday is this coming week starting with Minestrone & Tuscan White Bean Soup, Garlic Bread and Desserts as donated. Donation suggested $10 adult, children 5-12  $5
  8. Stations of the Cross will be every Friday during Lent at 7:00 PM starting on March 7 in the church.
  9. Father Chris’ Lenten Mission talk will take place after the Station of the Cross in the Church. The theme is: Theological and pastoral context of the Lent 2025 in the year of Jubilee”. Donations will sup-port Salvatorian Mission.
  10. The Church has an opening for a qualified part-time bookkeep-er/office assistant. For more information, apply at the Orlando Dio-cese website (orlandodiocese.org).
  11. STC Youth Group will begin selling raffle tickets next weekend, March 8th/9th after each Mass, for a Gskyer 130EQ Professional As-tronomical Reflector Telescope. This is a fund raiser to help offset the cost of our Youth Group events, summer camps and conferences. See details in the Bulletin.
  12. The Southern Deanery of the Council of Catholic Women is offering a $500 scholarship to an active Catholic high school student who gradu-ate this year 2025.  For an application and criteria please contact the Faith Formation Office. See details in the Bulletin.
  13. Join Moms of Tiny Saints for a Family Potluck Picnic on Saturday March 8th. They will be meeting at Tom Statham Park at 10AM. Bring the family, a nut-free dish to share, and enjoy some communi-ty time!
  14. Come and enjoy donuts, bagels, and coffee after Mass today and spend time with friends and family.
