Announcements for Sunday, March 8-9  1st Sunday of Lent

  1. The Cor Jesu Food Pantry needs oatmeal, cookies, and coffee. Grocery store gift cards are always welcome for perishables. Thank you for your generosity!
  2. Our Catholic Appeal goal of $123,098 has now been raised to $79,540, which is 64.6% of our goal. Please place your pledge envelopes in the collection basket. I appreciate your support!
  3. “The World Among Us” books for the Lenten Season are in the Gift Shop for $2
  4. The Church has an opening for a qualified part-time bookkeeper/office assistant. For more information, apply at the Orlando Diocese website (orlandodiocese.org).
  5. First Communion Prep Classes: Our Prep Session for 3rd Grade Students (School and Religious Education) will be this Wednesday, March 12th, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. in Avila Hall. If you have any questions, contact the Faith Formation office.
  6. Join us NEXT Week March 16th for our Breakfast Buffet! After all Sunday Masses in the Parish Center, 8:30 - 12:45. Suggested donation: Adults: $12, Children 5-12 $6
  7. After each mass, our youth group is selling raffle tickets for a Gskyer 130EQ Telescope. Please support our Youth Group and possibly win this remarkable telescope.
  8. The Southern Deanery of the Council of Catholic Women is offering a $500 scholarship to an active Catholic high school student who graduate this year 2025.  For an application and criteria please contact the Faith Formation Office. See details in the Bulletin.
  9. Join us this Friday for our Lenten Soup Suppers from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Confessions will be held in the Chapel from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., followed by the Stations of the Cross in the church at 7 p.m. Fr. Chris’s Lenten Talks, “Lent—A Way to Freedom,” will start after the stations.
  10. During the time of Lent, we will collect needed items for The Pregnancy Center, our food pantry, Cor Jesu, Life Pointe Ministries and North Brevard Charities. List of items needed are listed on the board in the Narthex. Attach the list to bag of items you bring back.
  11. (Read Sunday only) Join us today in the Parish Center for coffee and donuts. Spend time with family and friends.
  12. (Read Saturday only) Daylight savings begins Sunday, March 9, by springing the clocks forward one hour.
