Decorate for Thanksgiving/Fall
(After Veterans Day on Nov. 11th – School Program after the 8:30 AM Mass)
Have Matt bring over the 2 bins of Thanksgiving Decorations from above the Gym.
- Remove and fold the green & white tablecloths from the Narthex tables.
- Iron the two orange tablecloths for the tables in the Narthex. (I will bring them home on Wednesday to iron at home)
- Cover the tables in the Narthex with the orange tablecloths and turn up the sides to make them look like boxes. (Use straight pins to keep in place behind the tables.)
- Place glass “fishbowl” decorations on the tables. (Found in the Church Office.)
- Hang fall leaves wreaths outside the main doors of the Church.
- Put the Thanksgiving Banner out (In the Gift Shop Closet)
- Create a display in front of the Altar
- 2 boxes covered in “straw” are in the Joseph and Mary Storage Room.
- Inside the boxes are the pumpkins, material (yellow, orange, red)
- Wheat is in the Divine Mercy Storage Room in one of the cupboards. (Place in a vase, if needed)
- Bread is in the Divine Mercy Storage Room in one of the top cupboards.
- Other veggies are in the bins from above the Gym, as well as some potted plants (or “Fishbowl” decorations in the Church Office) to put around by the Tabernacle and/or Joseph and Mary.
- No need to change the Altar cloth as we are still in Ordinary Time. Later, for the Feast of Christ the King, we will change the Altar Cloth to gold.
