The Month of April is Dedicated to the Holy Spirit

After our solemn commemoration of the last days and death of Our Lord, we will spend the month of April celebrating. As Spring breaks forth even nature will join us as buds and blooms begin to surface and we spend this month basking in the joy of the Resurrection. We continue throughout the entire month our cry, "Christ is risen, Christ is truly risen." The Feast of Divine Mercy offers us the opportunity to begin again as though we were newly baptized. The unfathomable mercy of God is made manifest today if we but accept His most gracious offer.

What Should You Do With Old Palms?

A viable option is to burn them ourselves and return them to the earth. The ideal situation would be to burn the palms by themselves, collect the ashes and bury them in a place that will not be easily disturbed. We do this because blessed palms are a sacramental. These are an ordinary object that has been transformed or elevated to a higher purpose that draws us — through their use — closer to Christ. As such, they should be treated with dignity and respect rather than simply thrown in the trash.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS TOOTSIE ROLLS

The Knights of Columbus will be fundraising with the Tootsie Roll program on the weekends of March 11-12 and 18-19. We will be collecting donations after all the Masses at St Teresa Church only. Please be generous in helping us provide funding to local area charities such as Special Olympics, Horses @ South Lake School, and Alzheimer's programs

The Beatitudes

  1. Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven The poor in spirit are those who feel a deep sense of spiritual destitution and comprehend their nothingness before God.

Surrender Prayer Novena

Day 3

How many things I do when the soul, in so much spiritual and material need, turns to me, looks at me, and says to me; "You take care of it", then closes its eyes and rests., In pain you pray for me to act, but that I act in the way your want. You do not turn to me, instead, you want me to adapt your ideas. You are not sick people who ask the doctor to cure you, but rather sick people who tell the doctor how to.
