You see evil growing instead of weakening? Do not worry. Close your eyes and say to me with faith: "Thy will be done, You take care of it". I say to you that I will take care of it, and that I will intervene as does a doctor and I will accomplish miracles when they are needed. Do you see that the sick person is getting worse? Do not be upset, but close your eyes and say "You take care of it". I say to you that I sill take care of it, and that there is no medicine more powerful than my loving intervention.
My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love You! I beg pardon for those who do not believe, nor adore, nor hope, nor love You. Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore You profoundly. I offer You the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference by which He is offended. And, through the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of You the conversion of sinners.
The month of May is the "month which the piety of the faithful has especially dedicated to Our Blessed Lady," and it is the occasion for a "moving tribute of faith and love which Catholics in every part of the world [pay] to the Queen of Heaven. During this month Christians, both in church and in the privacy of the home, offer up to Mary from their hearts an especially fervent and loving homage of prayer and veneration. In this month, too, the benefits of God's mercy come down to us from her throne in greater abundance" (Paul VI: Encyclical on the Month of May, no. 1).
There is this matter of the so-called “secret of Fatima” that Our Lady shared with the three visionaries in 1917. The secret comes in three parts. The first two parts were revealed to the world back in 1941 through the child visionary Lucia, who had become a Carmelite nun by then. the three secrets involve Hell, World War I and World War II, and the Pope John Paul II assassination attempt.
Mother's Day Novena Cards are available in the narthex. All cards will be placed on the altar for the entire month of May. Honor your mother, grandmother, or someone important in your life!
Jesus on the Road to Emmaus is a story of one of the early resurrection appearances of Jesus after his crucifixion and the discovery of the empty tomb. Jesus joined two disciples who were walking from Jerusalem to Emmaus, about seven miles, and explained to them the prophecies of the Old Testament that were fulfilled in his death and resurrection. The disciples did not recognize Jesus until he broke bread with them at their destination, where they invited him to stay for dinner.
